Francisco's brother Julian arrived yesterday, with Francisco coming today. Julian is a tattoo artist, his bro is bringing his equipment... you know what that means, don't you? And since Thiago is also back, I was thinking we'll do a barbecue party for them, Salvo's dad as well, Saturday night.
Did I mention that there's a huge international surf competition going on this week, here in Arpoador and in Barra? Kelly Slater is competing, as is every other big name. I should've mentioned it. There's another competition next week in Saquarema, I wonder if they're all going there, too.
The numbers game has come down to the wire, keeping life interesting: We only needed 129 new visitors in the hecka-slow month of May to hit 2,000 guests for the Pirata calendar year (we came up short in Y2 and did not count in Y1). With 12 nights left, we're at 71. Can we manage to lure in 58 more trail-beaters before June? We'll have 2 weekends, that'll help.
Caipirinhas & Lapa this evening... and me and my buddy Orfeu's cigar night!
