The beginning of the end... of the beginning?

Piratas... sold? Piratas... sold out?!

Indeed, the rumors appear to be true, and the process appears to be rapidly underway. Just a couple months after hanging a FOR SALE sign above the front gate, Freddy went to Centro yesterday and signed his name to a document that will- with a few more signatures- transfer ownership of Rua Joaquim Nabuco #165 out of the hands of the Mello clan, to whom it´s belonged for more than 100 years. Worthy of a blog post, ya think?

Everyone has questions... I don´t have the answers yet. We are fully booked for New Year´s Eve... will we be open? We are also fully booked for Carnaval in mid-February... will we be partying? I hope to have clear, solid confirmation soon, you´d think next week at the latest.

Of course there is the bigger question, which I have patiently been addressing for a few months: What happens next? To Freddy & Eva? To Priscilla, Gabe & I? To the ever-present, Neverland-like crew? Are there 3 different answers to those 3 different questions, or 1 response that will cover them all?

Stay tuned. These are turbulent times out on the high seas. Though unstable, it´s exciting... and you always gotta take excitement over stability. It´s the Pirata way.
